SLUPC Worship Group

Now the sons of Israel arose, went up to Bethel, and inquired of God and said, “Who shall go up first for us to battle against the sons of Benjamin?” Then the LORD said, “Judah shall go up first.” –Judges 20:18

Every time that the tribes of Israel would move to a new place or face adversity, God would command that Judah go first. The name Judah literally means “to praise.” Praise always leads the way into the new things of God. Praise creates an atmosphere where God can move freely and miracles, signs, and wonders can occur!

SLUPC’s worship group consists of spirit filled anointed men and women, and is directed by Sis. Holly Hathcock. Our singers and musicians lead our congregation in praise and worship. Much like the tribe of Judah, they help to create an atmosphere conducive to the moving of the Holy Ghost.
